No wills for nearly 60% of parents
More than half of parents from the North East with children under 18 have made no will, a survey has revealed.
The study, carried out by Will Aid, found that 57 per cent of mums and dads in the region have not prepared this vital piece of paperwork. Will Aid Month (November) is the perfect time to sort it if you don’t have a will. Visit www.willaid.org.uk or call 0300 0309558.
Each November solicitors waive their fees for will writing services so their clients can donate to the charity partnership and support nine worthy causes. Many people also use the service to include a gift in their will to charity.
The suggested voluntary donation for a basic Will Aid will is £95 for a single will and £150 for a pair of mirror wills.
