New winter menu launched at the Treehouse
Christmas came early for local accommodation providers, who were invited to try the new winter menu at The Alnwick Garden's Treehouse Restaurant.
Starters include duck salad, soup with artisan bread, salmon and game terrine, while traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings is on the mains’ menu, alongside other selections.
Desserts include Yule log, Christmas pudding and chocolate-orange cheesecake.
Treehouse coordinator Karen Larkin was delighted with how the event went and was pleased to unveil the seasonal menu.
She said: “The Treehouse Restaurant looks so pretty and festive and even more so with crackers being pulled, the tinkle of glasses of bubbly and the comfort of a crackling log fire.
“We were delighted that almost all the guests were able to come on the evening and everyone said that the food was absolutely outstanding.
“We are very proud of our team of chefs and waiting staff.
“There have been quite a lot of changes over the past year or so, but we really do feel it has all fallen into place with new chefs and of course Matthew Carroll, our executive chef, pulling it all together too.”
The Christmas menu (lunch and dinner) is available for bookings, from now until the New Year.
The lunch offering is either a two or three-course menu priced at either £23.95 or £28.95.
The evening menu is a two or three-course offering, priced at either £28.50 or £35 per person.
