Lauren and Keith Elstob, owners of the Blue Bell Inn at Crookham since 2011, are excited to take over the tearoom, situated in the former granary at Heatherslaw Cornmill and one of the oldest enterprises at Ford and Etal Estates.

Lauren said: “We’re thrilled to be starting this new venture. It’s something different for us and we’ve had great fun planning and setting up the tearoom and its menu.”

Keith added: “As well as traditional tearoom fare and home-baked scones and cakes, we’re offering a selection of refreshments, from sandwiches and paninis to small basket meals to more substantial lunchtime specials.

“Having the Cornmill next door provides a great opportunity to use its fresh flours and oat products in our baking.”

There is also a full coffee menu, a range of teas and soft drinks and Mr Whippy ice-cream. Lauren is especially excited about her new milkshake menu, to be launched in the coming weeks.

The tearoom is open daily until November 4. Children, dogs and groups are all welcome.
