A Northumberland College apprentice is building a better future thanks to a local construction firm.
Caitlin Robinson, 22, of Stakeford, started her career with family-run Pringle Building Services, Bedlington, as a business administration apprentice two years ago.
Now she’s transferred to the firm’s sister company, Dacre Street Developments, in Morpeth, which is headed by Sean Pringle, where she has been promoted to Sales Manager.
Caitlin said: “I am extremely happy and appreciative that I have been trusted with the increased responsibility of this new role.
“I want to continue my career with Dacre Street Developments Limited, while continuing to work alongside the sister company, Pringle Building Services Ltd, as Managing Director Sean Pringle has many goals for the future.”
Caitlin’s Apprenticeship was flexible with most of her qualifications assessed and completed in the workplace.
Despite being mainly office-based, Caitlin awas supported by Northumberland College’s apprenticeship and assessor team.
Dawn Wood, Office Manager, said: “Catlin has progressed extremely well and very quickly took on additional tasks, quicker than we had anticipated. This has been down to Caitlin’s excellent capabilities and quick learning skills. Taking on an apprentice has been a good way of introducing a new member of staff to the company and given the opportunity for us to see how they work, progress and fit in to our environment.”
