NEW recruits have been enrolled at the Rothbury deatchment of the Army Cadet Force.

The nine took part in a ceremony in front of friends and family.

They were presented with the hackle of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and their one star training badge by Lieutenant Colonel Sue Haughie TD, Deputy Commandant of Northumbria ACF.

The night also saw cadets Jonathan Price, 16, and Greg Mason, 17, and adult volunteer Jack Hale, 19, receiving their bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s certificate and badge.
