Edinburgh College has agreed to help fund a set of laptops for the new Year 5 class in September at St Michael's CofE First School in Alnwick.

Sarah from Edinburgh College made the journey down to Alnwick with a special gift for St Michael’s CofE First School.

As a mark of the ongoing partnership, the college has agreed to help fund a set of laptops for the new Year 5 class.

As part of the reorganisation of the Alnwick Partnership, the school is switching to primary and its current Year 4s will stay on as Year 5 in September.

The school has purchased the laptops already and the children are very keen to get their hands on them.

Sarah also brought some gifts for the children which the school will share with them on its launch day in September.

Headteacher Gavin Johnston said: “We are very thankful to the college for their contribution.

“The laptops will be a great asset to our e-learning resource in school and will help the children to become more independent learners as they move through the school.”
