A couple of familiar faces have returned to the Alnwick pub scene.

Chris Robinson and Geoff Dade, formerly of The Alnwick Arms, have taken charge of the Oddfellows Arms in Narrowgate.

They ran The Alnwick Arms for nearly two years where they made a name for themselves by serving good, traditional food and a large drinks selection.

At the end of their lease, in March this year, they took on The Anchor Inn in Wooler.

But a return to Alnwick was never off the cards and when they were offered the chance to take on the Oddfellows, they accepted.

The pair, both originally from Yorkshire, will continue to run the Anchor Inn alongside the Oddfellows.

Professional chef Chris hopes to bring his popular British food menu back to Alnwick.

Manager Geoff said: “My main aim is to make the Oddfellows a great place to go, whether for a night out, a meal or a quiet afternoon drink.

“We’ll be stocking the bar up with a wide range of drinks, including well-kept real ale – and we’ll be bringing back the cocktails that were so popular at the Arms.”

Chris and Geoff will be hosting charity nights throughout the year and hope to welcome pool and darts teams to the pub.

The Oddfellows is open from noon each day.
