A new community hub has been formed to try to make Alnwick a better place to live – and residents are being encouraged to get involved.
Loving Alnwick is a non-political, not-for-profit group, formed to work in cooperation with the Chamber of Trade, other organisations and local people to enhance neighbourhoods and improve amenities for Alnwick.
The project’s main aims are to empower and connect local communities; work in partnership; and source funding to achieve its goals.
Carlo Biagioni, chairman of Alnwick Chamber of Trade, and resident Linda Wood-Mitchell are involved in the initiative.
They said: “This is a new, exciting project for Alnwick that will build on the excellent voluntary work that has been achieved by Alnwick Chamber of Trade.
“It is an opportunity for the community and residents to highlight small projects on which we can all work together to make a real difference.”
Loving Alnwick is open and free to all residents in Alnwick who want to make a difference.
If you want to learn more about the project, visit the Loving Alnwick website. Comments and input into the early stages of the hub are welcome, and leave your details if you want to become a volunteer or committee member.
