The cutting-edge AR (augmented reality) experience encourages visitors to use a special app to discover virtual clues and objects around the attraction.

AR is an interactive experience of a real-world environment whereby the objects that reside in the real-world are augmented by computer-generated perceptual information.

Leading AR developers, Peel Interactive, developed the app with The Garden.

To download the free app onto your phone, search for A Giant Adventure on the App Store before embarking on the giant trail, which features larger-than-life props.

Once downloaded, the app uses AR technology to trigger key points around The Garden that will activate once a phone is targeted on them, unlocking the fun content.

This includes a massive squirrel in the Treehouse, a large mouse scurrying out of a boot, a talking skull at the gateway to the Poison Garden and a giant taking a bath in the Grand Cascade.

The new app complements the giant trail, which was unveiled at The Garden in June. Gigantic installations include a massive mug, enormous bloomers and a bra hanging on a washing line, a colossal figure in the pond, a massive deck chair and a huge bottle of poison with bubbles coming out of the top.
