Naga embraces the Three Castles golf event

The ever popular Northumberland Three Castles golf competition reached its fifth year with 248 visitors from all over the country, including BBC news correspondent Naga Munchetty, to play in the three-day event over the Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle courses.

The tournament, which is sponsored by Bamburgh Castle, has proved to be a major success and has sold out within a day for the last three years, providing a huge economic boost to the tourist industry.

The mixed pairs took place in July and the overall winners were David and Sharon Jenkinson, from Wearside Golf Club, with a score of 132 points.
