Coffee morning fun

Coffee, cake and chatter were the order of the day recently when local representatives of the New North Northumberland Branch of the Royal British Legion hosted a fun morning of information relaxation and good home baking in Berwick last week.

Naaf break was the latest in a series of events run by the recently amalgamated RBL Berwick and Crookham branches and proved to be so popular that they intend running it as a monthly event for Forces, their families, friends and supporters of the Armed forces to come along, and meet up with old colleagues, learn more about the work of the legion and how it can help you or simply enjoy a cuppa.

“This is a town with a proud Military history,” an RBL spokesman explained. “And as such, it is our duty to help and support our local Forces personnel and their families but we can’t do this without our community and so we call upon locals and visitors alike to join us in our exciting events over the summer months.”

The next Naaf break coffee morning will take place from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday, July 5, at the Berwick Voluntary Centre, 5 Tweed Street, Berwick Upon Tweed, TD15 1JX.
