A singer-songwriter is the next in the line up of a series of concerts in Seahouses.
Jack Harris is performing at St Cuthbert’s House’s next event on Saturday.
The guest house hosts musicians on a regular basis with concerts taking place at the property.
Harris was lauded by the media when he arrived on the scene as a 17 year-old, and became the youngest, as well as the only non-American person ever to win the New Folk song writing award at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival, Texas.
Jack is happiest when playing live. He has brought his music to a loyal, ever-growing audience, across the world. His live show is a riveting mix of song craft and theatrical story-telling, delivered with warm voice, dry humour and nimble, string-picking fingers.
Jeff Sutheran, owner of St Cuthbert’s House in Seahouses, said: “We’re really excited to see Jack play live here. He captivated a large audience at Shrewsbury Folk Festival last year, playing a gig in a marquee in broad daylight. In the intimate setting of a night at St Cuthbert’s House, he’s going to be very special. Jack Harris is one of those gifted musicians who deserves to be a household name.”
Tickets for the gig, which starts at 7.30pm on Saturday June 11, cost £10 and are available by calling 01665 720456.
