Musical adaptation of much-loved classic

An open-air adaptation of a classic love story will be performed at Warkworth Castle at the end of this month.

Chapterhouse Theatre Company will be presentsing six stunning open-air adaptations of classic novels and some of literature’s most treasured stories to theatre-goers throughout the UK and Ireland as part of its summer season.

At Warkworth Castle visitors will be treated to a stunning performance of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights, on Sunday, July 31.

Set on the beautiful, mysterious wilderness of the Yorkshire Moors. This treasured story of enduring love and passion has thrilled and entranced for generations and is now brought alive on stage in an adaptation by award-winning writer Laura Turner.

Can Catherine and Heathcliff’s everlasting love bring happiness or will the very forces of nature and the moors tear them apart?

Visitors will be able to picnic with family and friends in the picturesque surroundings of Warkkworth Castle for the perfect evening of magical theatre in magical surroundings.

Tickets in advance are adult £13, concession and children £11 and on the night adult £15, concession and children £13.
