Music acts unveiled for inaugural Northumberland Pride festival
The free-to-enter festival will take place at Alnwick Rugby Club on Saturday, June 2, from 1pm to 6.30pm.
Performers to appear at the event include X Factor finalist and West-End star, Niki Evans, and Lorraine Crosby, who was female vocalist on Meatloaf’s Number 1 worldwide hit, I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).

Hide AdAlso on the bill are Sound of the Sirens; Jess Kemp; Matt Dunbar; Northern Proud Voices; Alix Alixandra; Showaddydaddies; Lewis Denny; Nova Halo; and CBS Theatre Group – Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
Lee Brannigan will be the host for the day and there will be an official after-party in Alnwick’s Blue Bell Inn, from 8pm until late.
The event is a celebration of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) life in Northumberland,
As well as the live music, there will be community-focused stalls providing information from local organisations and the LGBT services they offer, as well as health/wellbeing and family zones.
It is planned to have a LGBT march through the town.

Hide AdNorthumberland Pride chairman, Lorna Stewart-Hook, said: “Our line up for the very first Northumberland Pride has now been announced and we really hope people like it as much as we do. We have some amazing artists and for a team who only formed Northumberland Pride in August 2017 I think we have done pretty well.”
