Museum makes a rallying call for more volunteers

Volunteers are wanted to help out at a popular attraction, as part of a vision to offer a more immersive visitor experience.

The rallying call has been made by the Fusiliers Museum of Northumberland.

The attraction, based at Alnwick Castle, is looking for several volunteer activity leaders and a volunteer activities co-ordinator.

Their role would be to engage with schools, groups and the general public through interactive experiences, such as handling tables, crafts and other things.

The museum – which tells the story of one of the oldest infantry regiments in the British Army, as well as the soldiers and their families – reopens to the public at the end of this month.
