'Meanwhile, a cold north easterly flow has become established across much of Scotland with sleet and snow showers affecting areas exposed to the north east. During Sunday morning, these showers will become more frequent over the far north of Scotland and the Northern Isles.'

All secondary and primary gritting networks were treated yesterday afternoon and evening, as well as being patrolled overnight. The primary network has been treated again from 5am this morning.
