In memory of John

A Northumberland firm has donated £2,000 to Diabetes UK in memory of a former employee who had the condition.

FP McCann, near Longhoughton, chose the charity because John Ridgewell, from Shilbottle, was diagnosed with diabetes before passing away earlier this year.

He was an integral part of the company, which manufactures concrete products, for more than 25 years.
