A man has been sentenced after a car was damaged in north Northumberland.
Sean Grey, 27, of Shilbottle, was arrested for criminal damage on July 21 last year after a car was damaged at the Sainsbury’s car park on July 17.
He appeared at Mid and South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday, where he was given a conditional community order and ordered to pay £750 in compensation along with a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 in court costs.
Neighbourhood Inspector Paul Truscott, said: “The charges brought against Grey should serve as a warning for others involved in crime in the area. We will take swift action on offenders found committing crime and put offenders before the courts, where they could face being jailed.”
