A man died in a two-vehicle collision which closed a section of the A697 in Northumberland yesterday.
The 46-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, a-quarter-of-a-mile south of the New Moor House crossroads, near Longframlington.
The driver of the second car, a 45-year-old man, and a woman passenger were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident happened at around 12.15pm. Police closed the road between the crossroads and Longframlington for more than four hours.
Police are appealing for witnesses and asking any motorists in the area at the time of the collision to get in contact.
