Man airlifted to hospital after suffering stroke
A man was flown to hospital yesterday after suffering a stroke at Beadnell Bay.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called at 1.40pm to assist the North East Ambulance Service with the patient, in his 50s.
He was assessed at the scene and then transported to the RVI in Newcastle for on-going treatment.
His condition on arrival was described as critical.
