A man was airlifted to hospital from a north Northumberland golf club after he collapsed yesterday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) said: “At 3.42pm yesterday, crew from the Great North Air Ambulance Service were called to Bamburgh Castle Golf Club after a man collapsed due to cardiac arrest.
“The 67-year-old man was treated by the GNAAS trauma team before being flown to Wansback Hospital in Ashington. The flight took 10 minutes.”
Upon arrival at hospital, the man was in a critical condition.
