Exciting plans to transform a dilapidated and under-used leisure space in a seaside town will go on show to the public next month.
The Paddlers area, in Amble, is set for a major overhaul after significant funding has been secured for a much-needed revamp.
An update on the proposals, as well as a display of the design, will be presented at the annual parish meeting for the town, which takes place on Tuesday, May 12.
As part of the forum, the public will be given an anticipated timeline of work, while a new name for The Paddlers area will also be considered.
The final designs include a new water feature, outdoor table tennis, gym gear and play equipment, as well as a designated grass performance area. Footpaths and entrances will also be spruced up.
The parish meeting, which takes place at Fourways 2, on Dilston Terrace, will also cover the town’s future plans for commemorating the centenary of the First World War.
The meeting will also give members of the public the chance to raise any issues pertinent to the town.
It starts at 6pm. For more information, call the town council on 01665 714695 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
