Beau Monde, in Lucker, which is part of the Stablewood Leisure portfolio, is due to open its doors in July.

The group is run by the Johnson family, headed up by mum Tina, who started the company with five holiday cottages at Budle Bay in 2011, and involving her three sons, Johny, Daniel and Martin.

They have had a tremendously busy 12 months with The Apple Inn pub and The Apple Core pizzeria and crêperie, also in Lucker, recently celebrating their first year of business, while the equestrian business, Alnwick Ford Equestrian, based near Longframlington, is opening its cross-country schooling field for the first time this month too.

Beau Monde is a new, purpose-designed leisure complex, at Lucker Hall Steadings, which will be the home of a salon and spa, a new business set up by Daniel Johnson and his wife Aimee.

The salon will feature eight spacious stations, a colour station, nail bars and make-up sections, along with two special pedi-spas.

There will also be two treatment rooms and a relaxation room, with the complex offering a range of spa packages.

As well as during the construction, the development will provide ongoing employment opportunities.

The leisure side of the complex includes a swimming pool with built-in bubble pool, a separate jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, which has been built for Stablewood Coastal Cottages holiday guests.

The spa and salon will be open to the public, but the leisure side will only be available to the public via spa packages, otherwise being reserved for holiday guests.
