Lucy helps England beat world champs
Lucy Bronze was a prominent member of the England ladies team who beat world champions USA 1-0 in the SheBelieves Cup at the weekend.
Defender bronze, who plays for Manchester City Ladies, was also heavily involved in the 89th minute goal which secured a late victory for the Lionesses.
Bronze, the former Alnwick schoolgirl, fired in a shot from outside the box which rattled off the American’s crossbar and Ellen White was on hand to force home the rebound. It was tghe first time England had beaten the USA since 2011 and was their first win in the competition after losing their opening game to France.
