The youngest son of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland is to be married this summer.
The engagement between Lord Max Percy and Princess Nora, youngest daughter of Prince and Princess zu Oettingen-Spielberg, has recently been announced.
The pair, both 26, are due to be married in July in the Bavarian town Oettingen in Bayern, in Germany.
Andrew Davison, Deputy Piper to the Duke of Northumberland and chairman of the Northumbrian Pipers’ Society, will be playing the pipes at the ceremony.
The pair were pictured in Alnwick in 2012 (see above), attending the Service of Thanksgiving for Duchess Elizabeth of Northumberland.
According to the website royalcentral.co.uk, there is a good chance that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry may well be invited as there are many ties between the families.
The princes attended the wedding of the Duke of Northumberland’s youngest daughter, Lady Melissa Percy, to Thomas van Straubenzee in Alnwick in June 2013. The pair subsequently divorced in 2016.
Her sister, Lady Catherine Percy, was also married in Alnwick, tying the knot in 2011 to Patrick Valentine, but they separated in late 2013.
Lord Max also has an older brother, Earl George Percy, who is managing director of Cluff Geothermal and heir to the Duke of Northumberland.
Princess Nora has an older brother, Franz Albrecht, the Hereditary Prince, and two older sisters, Theresa and Antonia.
