At St Boswells on Monday 29th February Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly Primestock sale of cattle and sheep.

Sold 81 clean cattle, 46 Beef Cows, 1690 Hoggs and 641 Ewes.

Bullocks (23) averaged 199.6p per kg and sold to 234p (-0.9p on week). Heifers (58) averaged 204p per kg and sold to 237p (-7p on the week).

42 Beef type Cows averaged 116.3p per kg and sold to 183p (-1.9p on the week). 4 Dairy type OTM cattle averaged 90p per kg and sold to 93p (n/c on the week).

1690 Hoggs averaged 188.8p per kg (+5.3p on the week) £84.95 per head and sold to £112, top price 211.3p per kg for Texel.

641 Ewes averaged £65.20, and sold to £112 for Suffolk Heavy ewes averaged £70.24, light ewes sold to £88 for Cheviot and averaged £56.63.
