ANOTHER large donation had the Jam Jar Army total roaring upwards this week.

Alnwick Lions Club, long-term supporters of the army, this week broke open a bucket that had been collecting change in their bookshop on Bondgate Within.

The total inside was £105.90.

Added to further donations and jam jars brought in this week, the grand total sits at £3,629.35, as we continue to march towards £10,000 for the Playhouse Youth Theatre.

We want businesses, organisations, families and individuals to all have their own collections.

Full jars can be dropped off at the Alnwick Playhouse, the Northumberland Gazette office in Bondgate Without or the Lions bookshop.

We also have stickers with the Alnwick Playhouse Youth Theatre logo to decorate jam jars available to collect from the Gazette office as well as some jars.
