Limestone grooves at Cocklawburn.

This is one in a series of geodiversity walks run by Ian, of Northumbrian Earth, and one of a pair concentrating on the extraordinary geology of Cocklawburn Beach.

The walk will start at 10am, meeting at the car park to the south of the beach, next to the ice-cream van.

All are welcome and a donation will be requested to cover the costs of the walk.

The second Cocklawburn walk will be at 2pm on Monday, August 20. This will be a fossil-hunting trip.
