Leagues join forces for junior tournament

The first ever joint tournament between the Tynedale Mini Soccer and Glendale Youth League was held at Glendale Middle School, Wooler, last weekend.

The idea behind this event was to bring two rural leagues both affiliated to the Northumberland FA together for the first time in order to give all teams new opposition as both leagues have limited teams within them.

This Glendale / Tynedale Tournament for U7s and U8s teams was split into two Trophy events - The Tweed Trophy and the Coquet Trophy and trophies and medals were supplied by SportsWorld of Alnwick.
