Lawnmower stolen from Northumberland roadside

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a lawnmower from a roadside in Northumberland.

It happened on Saturday at 3.30pm when a black and red Mountfield petrol lawnmower was being used to cut the grass verge on the A1068 at Radcliffe.

The owner left it unattended for a matter of minutes while he went to collect his loader to empty the grass into. When he returned it had been stolen.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious or anyone who is offered this item for sale is asked to contact police.
