A new series of comedy nights showcasing the best of the region’s talent are proving popular – and there are still two more gigs to go.
Comedy at the Castle, presented by Signature One, is bringing professional comics to north Northumberland.
The gigs, which are held at Bamburgh Castle, have already seen the likes of award-winning gagsmith Carl Hutchinson and Edinburgh Fringe Festival joker Biscuitz perform.
And with shows scheduled for tonight and on August 30, there are still plenty of belly laughs to come.
MC David McBeth, of The Laughter Surgery, said: “I’ve been delighted at the interest from locals and holidaymakers so far.
“To present such a fabulous array of talent in such a spectacular setting is a real joy and all the performers have had an absolute blast thus far, and there is still more to come.”
Held in a marquee at the side of the castle, the remaining shows, which are suitable for those aged 16 and over because of strong language, take place from 6.30pm to midnight.
There will also be live music from Spacey.
A full cash bar and hog roast are available.
Advanced tickets are £10 and can be purchased by visiting www.signatureone.co.uk or by calling 0333 121 2411.
