Hundreds of entries have poured in for a competition to rename the Knight’s Quest at Alnwick Castle.
And with the deadline closing tomorrow, people are being encouraged to submit their idea before it’s too late.
The Knight’s Quest medieval-themed interactive area includes dress-up and swordplay, medieval games, craft-making, theatre performances, an armoury with armour demonstrations, school workshop spaces, a picnic area, Hotspur Hall and the entrance to Dragon Quest.
Once all the entries have been collected, they will be put in front of the castle’s panel of judges and the winner will be announced on Friday, December 8. The winning entry will be rewarded with a family annual pass to Alnwick Castle and a £20 gift card to spend on site.
A castle spokesman said: “We are looking for a new and original name for our medieval-themed family area.
“The Knight’s Quest area began its life many years ago as the Alnwick Castle riding school, but after renovations took place in 2005 it took on its new role in the ever-growing visitor attraction.
“In those early days, it was known as Knight’s School. A few years later after yet more renovations and developments to the area, Knight’s Quest was born.”
