A north Northumberland landlord has offered a reward for information after his pub was burgled.
As previously reported on the Gazette website, the burglary occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, August 27, between 12.05am and 5am, at the Jolly Fisherman at Haven Hill in Craster. Offenders broke in and stole an amount of cash from inside before making off.
The pub landlord has offered a reward of up to £1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the burglary.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the burglary to come forward. Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who has information about those responsible is asked to contact police – for the attention of DC Keith Turnbull – on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 228 27/08/14, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The appeal comes during Northumbria Police’s Operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling thieves and burglars across the force.
