The final line-up for the Lady of the North’s first community event has now been confirmed.
This Saturday, Northumberlandia, the world’s largest human landform, will host a wide variety of activities and entertainment including drummers, dancers, kite flyers, stone balancers, zoo animals and a giant seagull.
Starting at 11am, the fun-filled day of entertainment will feature local food and drink, music and dancing as well as plenty of activities for families to enjoy.
Euan Hall, chief executive of the Land Trust, said: “The event marks the beginning of full opening hours for the spectacular sculpture. There’ll be plenty of hands-on activities for families to enjoy, so we want people to come along on Saturday and enjoy themselves and celebrate the new park.”
After Saturday, the sculpture will be open to walkers every day from dawn to dusk, with the car park being open Tuesday to Sunday between 9am and 4pm.
The event will also showcase the best of Northumberland and many of the county’s tourist attractions, including Bamburgh Castle, will be showcasing what the county has to offer.
