Kite surfer injured at Budle Bay
A kite surfer required treatment after being injured at Budle Bay, near Bamburgh, yesterday.
Coastguard teams from Seahouses and Holy Island were paged to attend the incident and assist a crew from the North East Ambulance Service. He was taken to the emergency care hospital in Cramlington.
Meanwhile, the Coastguard teams at Berwick, Holy Island, Seahouses and Howick are currently recruiting new volunteers.
