Keep it Klean unveils new eco-friendly product range

Bruce Redhead, who runs washroom and catering supplier Keep it Klean, has unveiled the Eco Green range.

The items include compostable cups and straws, made from corn starch; food trays made from sugarcane extract; and paper made from recycled drinks cartons.

Bruce decided to add this line of products to his business after becoming concerned about the impact of plastics and other rubbish on the environment.

And he says that his eco-friendly approach is proving to be a hit with customers.

Bruce, who is a member of Alnwick Chamber of Trade and reiterated the importance of supporting local businesses, said: “I watch Blue Planet and there has been a lot of things in the media recently about the impact of plastics and other litter on the environment.

“So I started looking about and seeing what was out there to supply people with and I have started to sell the Eco Green range.

“I have had a really positive response to this approach so far and I have gained some new customers as a result.

“I also had a competition on Facebook, which promoted the eco-friendly products and drummed up quite a bit of interest.

“I will definitely be looking to expand the range, too.”

Bruce started Keep it Klean in 2014, after being made redundant from Alnwick Cranes.

The company, which has an eye-catching yellow and white van, delivers up to a 25-mile radius of Alnwick.

Bruce said: “We deliver and serve the hospitality, catering and automotive trade and our aim is to offer value for money, with good quality products delivered to your door.

“We are small enough company to be able to assist each customer and order individually and, regardless of size, we will treat all of our customers with the same caring and attentive service.”
