* More pictures of the evening at Alnwick Castle appear in this week’s Gazette.

* Meanwhile, Alnwick Town, like the majority of other teams in the region, found themselves without a game at the weekend when the weather once again played havoc with the sporting fixtures.

Town were due to play Darlington RA in the Northern League Division 2, but the game was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Alnwick’s next game is scheduled against Billingham Town this Saturday (January 23), but again is weather dependant.
