An Alnwick jewellers has reopened with a sparkling new look, after undergoing a major transformation.

Conroy’s is the first multi-branded store in the UK to be fitted with Pandora’s new futuristic look.

The Market Street store sells products from the international Danish jewellery manufacturer and retailer.

And husband and wife team Stephen and Louise Conroy are delighted with the refurbishment, which has given the shop a smart-looking, boutique feel.

Jeweller and watch technician Stephen, who has run Conroy’s for nearly 30 years, said: “We have put everything into this because we really do believe in Alnwick and we are delighted to be the first multi-branded store in the UK to have Pandora’s new futuristic look.

“We serve the product well and Pandora want a presence in Alnwick because it is a great town.”

The new look, which was unveiled to the public earlier this month, has gone down well with customers.

Louise said: “We absolutely love the new look. It is very modern and it is different to how we looked before.

“We are so pleased to have reopened in our gorgeous new surroundings. We have gone from a traditional to boutique look and we have had an amazing response from our customers.”

As well as Pandora, Conroy’s stocks a number of other brands, including Links of London, Coeur de Lion, Nomination and Sif Jakobs. The store also offers jewellery and watch repairs, sells diamond and fine jewellery and pre-owned watches.

The Conroy’s team includes Amy Saunders, Diane Meadows and Charlie Jarvis, and Louise praised their efforts.

She said: “All of this could not have been possible without the support and hard work of our fabulous team.”

Thanks have been given to Total Flooring, and Pickard Electricals Ltd, both Alnwick, for their efforts.
