The eight-year-old Rothbury First School pupil was diagnosed with epilepsy a year ago and the help he and his family have received from the charity has improved their ability to cope and live with the condition.

Jack wanted to help others the way the society had helped him.

So, with the help of his mum Lesley, he organised a raffle and they set about getting donations for prizes.

They got more than 50, including vouchers from local businesses, but the star prize was a Barcelona football strip signed by Lionel Messi and donated by Barcelona FC.

A total of £1,221 was raised with the raffle.

The prized shirt was won by Malcolm Oliver, from Blyth, who generously donated it to Jack in recognition of the work he had done in raising such a large amount.
