It's all fun in the sun at the show

The sun shone on the start of the north Northumberland show season on Saturday. Powburn Show, the first of the annual Cheviot sheep and horticultural shows, was blessed with good weather and good crowds.

There was a day of entertainment for all the family, with sheep, industrial and horticultural classes; pony jumping and sports; a hill race, Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling; children’s sports; and a terrier show.

Visitors enjoyed demonstrations including spinning and dry stone walling, music and craft and food stalls.
