It’s July, temperatures are soaring and there’s a World Cup on – so surely the last thing on people’s minds is Christmas.
Yet recently-released tickets to see Santa Claus at The Alnwick Garden this November and December are all but gone.
Demand for places has proved hotter than the weather, as quick-thinking festive fans have snapped up spots to see the man in red.
The tickets were released on Monday, July 2, and in the first few hours alone, several weekends in December, as well as Christmas Eve, were all sold.
Since then, further slots in December, as well as the weekend of November 24 and 25, have also all gone.
It leaves just a few remaining dates, meaning Christmas lovers will need to hurry to secure a meeting with Santa.
A Garden spokesman said: “The demand for Santa tickets this year was off the charts, despite us making more slots available than in previous years.
“We are thrilled with the interest, but also disappointed that we could not accommodate everyone. We have received rave reviews over the past few seasons about our Santa experience and we have invested heavily in a much busier festive season offer.
“This year, The Garden will host its first Christmas light show for 10 days before Christmas, which will hopefully bring additional visitors to The Garden and into the town centre.”
