The Seahouses lifeboat was launched twice in 48 hours to take ambulance crew to Holy Island while the causeway was closed. In the early hours of Sunday morning, two paramedics were taken to treat a seriously ill man. The casualty was taken to hospital by road as the tide fell rapidly. Then at a similar time on Tuesday morning, the lifeboat was launched to help a man with a suspected heart attack. Following assessment, the RAF helicopter was called to transport him to Wansbeck General Hospital.
