Plans for new homes in Longframlington and Longhoughton as well as a bid for holiday lodges in Rothbury are set to be decided next week.

The three schemes are on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of Northumberland County Council’s planning committee.

At Longframlington, an application for nine detached houses at North End Farm is recommended to get the green light.

Also recommended for approval is the reserved matters application for 66 new homes in Longhoughton – the outline scheme was approved in May last year.

Amended proposals for 11 holiday lodges on land south of Rothbury Golf Club, which have sparked 86 objections, also look set to get the go-ahead.

An original bid for 21 lodges on the site, which is in the parish of Whitton and Tosson, was withdrawn in March 2016.
