Hotel firm's turnover and profit increases

Macdonald Hotels Ltd, which runs Macdonald Linden Hall Golf & Country Club near Longhorsley, is not only celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, but has also recently announced increased profits and turnover for the last financial year.

The group, which has 55 hotels and resorts in the UK, Ireland, Spain and Portugal, recently published its annual results for the year to April 2, 2015, which showed that group turnover was up seven per cent (£10.2million) to £155.7million with total operating profit up 11 per cent (£1.6million) to £16.9million.

The group’s profit after tax was up £2.5million to £6.1million while bank debt was effectively reduced by more than £96million at December 2015.

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts was established in 1990 by Donald Macdonald and colleagues.
