A rare opportunity to cycle in Alnwick’s Hulne Park is taking place later this month.
The charity event, organised by HospiceCare North Northumberland, will follow the 6.4-mile blue footpath round the park.
Rebecca Taylor, from the hospice, said: “Bicycles are not normally allowed into Hulne Park, so this is a fantastic opportunity for families to see it in this way.”
The event will take place on Sunday, May 31, from 10am to 4pm. It is suitable for mountain bikes and hybrids (off-road tyres).
Children must be fairly confident on a bike as there are a couple of modest hills, although there are no time pressures to finish.
Entry is £6 adults, £4 children or £17.50 family (two adults/two children), with a goody bag/medal for children.
To enter, visit hospicecare.nn.org.uk where you will be asked to choose a time slot.
A fire engine is due to attend on the day.
