Homedefeat for Ladies
It was a frustrating day at the office for Alnwick Ladies when they went down to a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Sunderland West End on Sunday.

The teams met at St James’ Park in a North East Regional Women’s League game, but against a team who were sitting top of the table before kick-off, and who had already won five of their first seven matches, the Northumbrians knew it was not going to be an easy fixture.
The home side scored twice through Armstrong and Darling, but unfortunately, Sunday netted three times to make it six wins out of eight and keep them top of the table on 18 points.
Alnwick, meanwhile, have nine points from their five games played and currently sit mid-table.
On Sunday (November 4) the Ladies are away to Washington, kick-off 2pm.
