The North Northumberland Fundraising Group is getting ready for the Holy Island Forget Me Not Walk.
The charity walk, on Sunday, September 20, is one of the biggest events of the year for the group, which raises funds for blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
It’s a popular event which follows a five-mile route. It starts at 11.30am from St Aidan’s Winery and takes in stunning views including Lindisfarne Castle, the harbour and the village.
Last year’s event raised more than £5,500 and the group is encouraging as many people as possible to join in this year.
Enter on the day, sign up online at https://leukaemialymphomaresearch.org.uk/event/holy-island-forget-me-not-walk or email Helen Tait at the group at firstname.lastname@example.org for an entry form.
The group has sponsor forms and the walk is registered with online fund-raising website JustGiving.
But sponsorship isn’t essential and you can simply go along, pay your entry fee and enjoy the walk while supporting blood cancer research in the North East.
