Holy Island rescue team go to the aid of woman in early hours call out

An elderly woman was helped home by rescuers after becoming lost on Holy Island early today, Wednesday, April 14.

HM Coastguard Holy Island went to the aid of the lady after a report at 1.26am, saying she was disorientated and struggling to walk.

The Holy Island Coastguard Team went helped the woman after she called for help.

"They did the right thing calling 999 and asking for the Coastguard.

"If you see anyone or you yourself are in danger do not hesitate to call 999.”
