Plans for a pair of semi-detached, single-storey holiday cottages at Dukesfield near Bamburgh are recommended for approval next week.
The application will be decided by Northumberland County Council’s new planning and rights of way committee next Tuesday.
The proposal was previously turned down by the north area planning committee in September 2013 due to its ‘adverse impact on the local area and on the setting of Dukesfield Farmhouse, a grade II-listed building’.
The resubmission has sparked five objections from neighbours as well as Bamburgh Parish Council, but planning officers recommend that the application is approved.
The site is not located within the Northumberland Coast AONB and the building conservation team has not objected.
