Historic job opportunities in Northumberland

English Heritage is currently recruiting for a range of seasonal and permanent positions across its historic properties in the North East with a range of jobs in customer service, retail and catering at Lindisfarne Priory, Belsay Hall and Gardens, Birdoswald and Chesters Roman Forts.

Lynn Rylance, area manager for the North East and Cumbria, said: “We welcome hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world to our castles, forts, abbeys and houses and, with an action-packed events programme, it’s certainly a job where no two days are the same.”

Full training will be given and benefits include no routine evening work, holiday pay and free entry to 400 English Heritage properties nationwide.
